Help Build MEDLIFE’s Medical School Admissions Program:
MEDLIFE is launching a new medical school admissions and premed coaching offering, and we’re looking for an experienced admissions professional to help us build it from the ground up.
This is a unique opportunity for an established medical school admissions expert who wants to continue working independently while becoming the founding subject-matter expert and initial advising partner behind a new MEDLIFE program.
You’ll work directly with students, provide high-quality admissions guidance, and help transform your expertise and methodology into a scalable advising system that can grow alongside MEDLIFE’s student community.
About MEDLIFE:
MEDLIFE is an international nonprofit organization working with university students and communities through healthcare, education, and development programs.
Our ecosystem generates approximately 17,000 student leads annually, primarily among pre-med and health-professions students, and includes an established network of physicians, healthcare professionals, university chapters, sales teams, and marketing teams.
As we expand the ways we support students pursuing careers in healthcare, we are building a dedicated medical school admissions and premed coaching offering.
What You'll Do:
As our Founding Medical School Admissions Advisor, you’ll combine hands-on student advising with program development and thought leadership.
You will:
- Personally advise MEDLIFE medical school applicants and premed students.
- Assess students’ academic profiles, MCAT readiness, extracurricular portfolios, clinical exposure, research, service, and leadership experience.
- Develop individualized premed and medical school application strategies.
- Guide school selection across AMCAS, AACOMAS, and, where appropriate, TMDSAS.
- Coach students through personal statements, activities, secondaries, interviews, waitlists, and reapplications.
- Design MEDLIFE’s applicant intake and readiness-assessment framework.
- Create advising roadmaps, SOPs, meeting templates, application checklists, and quality standards.
- Help determine which areas of the student journey should be supported by admissions advisors, writing experts, and physician mentors.
- Train and quality-assure additional advisors as student volume grows.
- Collaborate with MEDLIFE’s marketing, sales, technology, and student-success teams.
What We're Looking For:
We care more about demonstrated admissions expertise, judgment, and student outcomes than any single credential.
The ideal candidate brings:
- 5+ years of substantial medical school admissions consulting or pre-health advising experience.
- A track record of advising a significant number of successful medical school applicants.
- Deep command of AMCAS, with strong familiarity with AACOMAS and ideally TMDSAS.
- Excellent expertise in applicant strategy, school-list development, personal statements, activities, secondaries, and interview preparation.
- Experience within an established admissions consultancy, major university pre-health office, medical school admissions office, or comparable environment.
- Excellent written communication and student-facing coaching skills.
- The ability to translate expert judgment and experience into structured processes that other advisors can learn and replicate.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and genuine interest in building, testing, and improving a new program.
- The ability to operate independently while collaborating effectively with a larger organization.
Highly desirable, but not required: Previous experience as a medical school admissions committee member or interviewer and 8–15+ years .
